Oh, Good God …
Ok, I’m a big Michael Shanks fan from Stargate SG-1, but I have to admit that this movie that he starred in, Megasnake, is just … a hilariously poor choice. But, despite the movie’s penchant for “seriousness” it is quite hilarious. Michael, I think, is better actor than this movie deserves. All the characters are stupid, especially Duff Daniels. Yes, yes there is a character named Duff in this movie.
I think I neglected to say that this movie takes place somewhere in Tennesee.
The kicker, I thought, was Les Daniels (the male lead, played by Shanks) is slightly less stupid than his dumbass brother Duff (gigglesnort). I don’t know who is more stupid, Duff for not listening to the Native American who said a certain snake wasn’t for sale, or Les for not realizing that his mother was missing for a day and a half until he found a pool of his brother’s dried blood on their couch.
Seriously! Who doesn’t notice that their mother is missing!?!? Only an idiot.
Like I said, Les is slightly less stupid than his brother Duff (snort), who was stupid enough to knock over the jar this snake was in and let it out. Of course, it immediately starts growing and then later eats the Daniels’ cat and grows even bigger and omg! The snake eats mom after eating the chickens, etc., etc. It’s a hilariously stupid movie. Not really sure if I should recommend it or not. xD
